Coding a template is rarely the slow part. On a normal small-business project, most calendar days are spent waiting on things only the owner can supply: the list of services, job photos, license numbers, the towns they serve and a yes on the homepage mockup.
We shorten that by asking for everything in one intake call and designing from real photos rather than stock placeholders. When answers arrive the same week, the two-week end of the range is realistic.
Account access matters too. If a former designer still controls the domain, hosting or email logins, recovering them can take longer than the design itself, so ownership is one of the first things we ask about.
